Joshua Williams
Although Joshua is a man of many talents, his love of the arts first stems from a passion with music. Joshua has been a musician for 20 years, ranging from flute and saxophone to percussion and world culture instrument studies. From there, Joshua has expanded his artistic reach through theater design, painting, free-hand drawing, and more.
While studying Technical Theater at Oakland University, Joshua had a primary focus in Sound Design through stage-play sound designs and live concert mixing. There after, Joshua expanded his technical range to Dance Lighting, Stage Management, Technical Direction, and Teaching of the Theatrical Arts.
Through his time at Oakland University and there on, Joshua has worked at The Forestburgh Playhouse, Meadowbrook Theater, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Palace of Auburn Hills, and TFC center (formerly Cobo Hall). After graduating, Josh has worked at The Walt Disney World Company as an Entertainment Technician, and as a freelance designer and engineer with various companies and projects, including Central Florida Community Arts and the SOBO Art Gallery in Winter Garden Florida.
Currently, Josh can be found at the University of Memphis as a Graduate Assistant in their Electrics Department, working to earn his MFA in Technical Theatre with a primary focus in Sound and Lighting Design and Education.
